Roadtrip Greece

Our road trip starts in Thessaloniki and leads to the wide Pindos Mountains. It stretches north-south for 150 kilometers through the Greek countryside. The highest mountain massifs reach up to 2,600 meters above sea level and are hardly frequented except by individual hikers. Depending on the wind, we choose our take-offs on the east or west side.

If the weather god Jupiter, is in a temperate mood, thermal-rich and beautiful places are on our agenda: Zervi in the far north, Meteora with its monasteries, Ioannina with its many narrow streets and old buildings, and Mouzaki, a popular XC take-off on the east side . The west side attracts with the Ionian coast and the eleven islands. Maybe a sightseeing flight at Lefkada would be a good idea.

As befits a road trip, flight conditions determine our route. We check in where it looks most promising and discover the region’s charming cafés and cozy taverns. In September we no longer expect the weather to be too hot, with reliably good conditions for this adventure.

The trip ends in Athens and can therefore be perfectly combined with the flying week in Patras.
