The volcanic island of Sicily has already been well developed in terms of flying by local pilots. The diversity of flying areas and the spectacular and beautiful views of this region are still largely unknown to us – and wrongly so.
Discover the varied flying areas around the 3,345 meter high Etna when the Alps sink into the snow. Beautiful coastal flying areas over the picturesque mountain villages and in the hilly interior – mostly with a view of the “sleeping giant”. And special excursions such as to the steamy islet of Vulcano to fly over the coast and the crater or to the nearby mainland in Calabria.
The absolute highlight awaits us in good conditions: a flight from Etna – a 45-minute gliding flight to the sea. Then a delicious pistachio ice cream or a sun-ripened, fragrant mandarin that is currently being harvested everywhere – Bella Sicilia!
On New Year’s Eve, wander through the alleys and bars of Taormina, enjoy a fine antipasti menu and start the new year with a good glass of Spumante in the southern Italian flair.
