Thermal Camp Southern Alps
Thermals, technique and tactics
In February we leave the cold north and travel to the southern Alps in search of the first thermals. Depending on the weather, we will decide at short notice where we will set up our wings. In Slovenia, Italy, Istria or southern France, there are many areas that already work well in early spring.
On this tour we focus on thermal flying. We’ll show you how to move around the terrain to find thermals. Then we practice the right technique to turn out the thermals optimally. In detailed briefings in the morning you will learn important background knowledge before you start your circles in the upwind under observation and in radio contact. After each flight we will advise you and try to refine your skills step by step. If you have any questions, we will be happy to advise you and try to refine your skills step by step.
The goal is that after this week you can start the spring thermals with a lot of experience and well practiced.

The main language of the training camps is German. Unfortunately, we cannot offer a comprehensive translation here.
