Through the mild winter of Andalusia
When our days are wet and cold, southern Spain offers plenty of sunshine and pleasant thermal conditions. Temperatures are already regularly rising above 20 degrees. Just the thing to escape the winter in the Alps and experience a taste of spring.
Our road trip takes us from Malaga to Alicante, a distance of around 500 kilometers. However, we do not take the most direct route, but head for coastal soaring spots as well as inland areas for thermal flying.
These could include, for example, the hinterland of Malaga, the regions around Granada, Baza, or Jaen. Alicante, with its perfect coastal flying area and numerous thermal spots in the hinterland, will then be the final destination of this trip.
We are completely flexible in our choice of route and, as usual, we will depend on the weather. Look forward to a cool start to the season in Europe. The local hospitality in combination with paella, tapas and cerveza provides the Spanish flair.
