Through the south of the Iberian Peninsula
Our road trip takes us from Andalusia to Portugal through the most beautiful flying areas between Málaga and Lisbon. We start on the Costa del Sol in southern Spain and stop where the weather suits flying.
The famous flying arena of Algodonales, which offers various launching options for almost all wind directions and invites you to thermal soaring or a few cross-country kilometers, can be on the agenda, as can a side trip to the region around Granada or Jaén.
On our itinerary towards Lisbon, we can stay true to the inland and fly over the beautiful Sierras, which are in full bloom of olives and broom at this time of year. Or we can choose the route along the coast, where attractive soaring spots await us – for example, Matalascañas in Spain or the beautiful west coast of Portugal – and enjoy the sunsets by the sea, fresh fish and the waves of the Atlantic.
Anything is possible on this road trip, and there’s sure to be something for every aviation enthusiast’s dream. A colorful mix of thermal flying and beach soaring, culinary highlights from two countries and full flexibility to follow the beautiful weather.
