Our round trip through Portugal is and remains an absolute classic. Flexible and spontaneous, we design our itinerary through this beautiful spot in the southwesternmost part of Europe, letting the weather conditions guide us to always be in the best place.
Most of the time we visit the highest mountains of the country, the Serra da Estrella, make a loop through the northern Portuguese Serras at Bornes or Mirandela near the Douro wine region to Montalegre on the Galician border. We also always try to fly at the attractive soaring spots on the Atlantic coast north or south of Lisbon.
So there’s something for everyone on this tour, whether you’re a soaring fan or an XC pilot, a beginner or an experienced pilot. Comfortable take-off and landing areas for almost all wind directions, reliable thermals with interesting relief for cross-country flights and gentle soaring conditions in the evenings in the Serras or by the sea.
