Great Britain at its best
England – a country with a long paragliding tradition, with legendary pilots and a multifaceted playground for paragliding.
For us Alpine pilots, the island is often beyond our horizons, as we tend to associate it with bad weather – unjustifiably, in our opinion! We’ve already visited England several times; there’s often a stable high-pressure system there, especially in early summer, and we’ve found an extremely active flying community, a variety of different areas, and extremely scenic regions.
If you’re looking for an active week of paragliding and enjoy the diverse potential of flying, then this trip is perfect for you. Ideally, you can expect morning gliding or soaring flights through the mystical atmosphere of sunrise, good thermals during the day, top-class strong wind playgrounds, and top landing sessions, as well as the potential for a 200 km flight on perfect days.
Almost all starting points can only be reached on foot and, with approximately 100 – 600 meters of elevation gain to overcome, offer a daily fitness program included.
You’ll also discover the legendary pub culture and proverbial English courtesy. We’re passionate about Wales and the Lake District north of Manchester. These regions offer an incredible variety of starting points and a diverse landscape.
We’ll be planning the trip very flexibly, which means we’re open to rescheduling to Ireland or Scotland in the event of a very difficult weather forecast. If you’re also interested in exercise, nature, and other activities, nothing stands in the way of a great time.
