¡Viva México!
We’re back in Mexico.
We begin our journey through the colorful, vibrant, and above all, thermal-rich North American country in Guadalajara. From there, we plan to first take a detour to the lush, tropical Pacific coast to get our first taste of soaring air. Ending the day with a sunset and delicious seafood should then put everyone in a holiday mood.
After that, we’ll focus on thermal soaring and cross-country flying, which works perfectly in Mexico at this time of year; the winter there is dry and sunny. We’ll visit some well-known launch sites, such as Tapalpa, as well as newer and lesser-known ones, which will allow us to circle above extinct or still-steaming volcanic craters. And to fulfill all the clichés, we can fly from there to the beautiful town of Tequila, which might well awaken a desire for a good post-flight drink or lead to a fine tasting.
The second part of the trip takes us to the central regions of the country. Besides beautiful and secluded areas, we will certainly plan a detour to one of the international paragliding hotspots and visit the Valle de Bravo. The legendary flying conditions there should satisfy everyone.
Of course, as always, we will let the weather determine our exact route in order to take advantage of the best conditions.
We will then end the trip with the return journey to the capital, Mexico City.
A colorful and diverse journey awaits you in every respect – usually very rewarding in terms of flying and anything but boring in terms of cuisine.
