Tactics, thermals and XC
More than 10 years ago, we found the perfect place for cross-country flying in Kruševo in the south-east of North Macedonia and learned to appreciate it above all else.
The fantastic flying arena offers optimal conditions, not only for the cracks who fly competitions there, but especially for XC beginners. Along rolling hills and over the top-flat plains with landing fields as far as the eye can see, personal cross-country flying adventures can be tackled carefree.
The morning takes-off with a detailed debriefing of the previous day. Basic cross-country flight rules and concepts are taught in a practical way using concrete flight situations. We then analyze the weather situation for the current day and plan one or more flight tasks together.
Then we go up the mountain and together we try to implement what we have planned. We are in radio contact all day long. The flying guides can thus pass on important information on flight tactics, weather developments, etc.
We round off the evening with cool drinks and hearty Macedonian food.
