Portugal autumn

Our round trip through Portugal is and remains an absolute classic. We plan our route through this beautiful piece of land in the southwestern part of Europe flexibly and spontaneously and let the weather conditions guide us so that we are always in the best place.

Most of the time we visit the highest mountains of the country, the Serra da Estrella, make a loop through the northern Portuguese Serras at Bornes or Mirandela near the Douro wine region to Montalegre on the Galician border. We also try to fly to the attractive soaring spots on the Atlantic coast north or south of Lisbon.

This tour therefore has something for everyone, whether you are a soaring fan or XC pilot, a beginner or an experienced pilot. Comfortable take-off and landing areas for almost all wind directions, reliable thermals with interesting relief for cross-country flights and gentle soaring conditions in the evenings in the Serras or by the sea.

Compared to spring, the conditions in autumn are a little gentler, but still offer every opportunity for unforgettable flying experiences.
