Diversity in a small space
The French island in the Indian Ocean offers the perfect mix for a relaxing paragliding holiday during the dreary European November. The inhabitants of Réunion are laid-back and exceptionally friendly. The flying areas are diverse and allow for impressive flights with altitude differences of up to 2300m.
On several days, we glide early in the morning over deep canyons covered in lush tropical vegetation, past towering waterfalls, to the landing site by the sea. As early as 8 a.m., thermals can carry us along steep slopes over the jungle.
The west side of the island offers ideal conditions for extensive thermal soaring and exciting cross-country flights. Our final approach often takes us over the deep blue Indian Ocean, then on over lagoons and coral reefs, to the landing site, which is just a short walk from our hotel.
Equally magical are the evening flights from the launch site directly behind our hotel. On many evenings, the gentle updraft allows us to stay in the air until sunset and watch the sun sink into the sea.
For those who want to take a break and relax, our hotel offers two pools, a bar, two restaurants and a lush garden – the perfect place to unwind.
And if the weather should actually not be suitable for flying, La Réunion offers a variety of exciting alternatives: a hike to the active volcano Piton de la Fournaise, snorkeling in the lagoons protected by coral reefs, swimming in crystal-clear freshwater pools under high waterfalls or a mountain hike through dense primeval forest.

Getting there
Own arrival. Flight advice and booking assistance available through Flywithandy. Meeting at airport Saint Denis de la Reunion (RUN) on 20th November, departure on 4th December 2027.
Generally, only an ID card or national identity card valid beyond the date of departure is required for entry. However, we strongly recommend also bringing a valid passport. If entering or leaving via a third country, a passport valid for at least six months is required in all cases. No visa is required for Swiss and German citizens.

Comfortable hotel with sea view and within walking distance of the landing site and beach, double room incl. breakfast. Single rooms are limited.
Requirements
Language
Our guides all speak good English and will be happy to translate all the information for you. However, the main language of the tour is usually German.
Included services
Accomodation in a double room, breakfast in the hotel, transport and petrol, retrieve service, provision of live tracking for your safety, support and organization.
Not included
Flight, insurance, breakfast (if we fly very early), dinner, any applicable entry fees.
Radio
Unfortunately, we cannot lend out PMR radios for this tour. Please bring your own. We recommend the Wintec LP-4502 and Basisrausch Lava. If you buy a Wintec at the Aerocenter, you will receive a special price – please contact us for more information. Alternatively, you can use any other PMR radio with a good range that allows you to set the main and sub-channel.
