In the mild winter of Andalusia
While we experience wet and cold days, southern Spain awaits with plenty of sunshine and pleasant thermal conditions. Temperatures regularly climb above 20 degrees Celsius. It’s the perfect place to escape the winter in the Alps and get a taste of spring.
Our road trip takes us from Malaga to Alicante, a distance of around 500 kilometers. However, we’re not taking the most direct route, but instead heading to coastal soaring spots as well as inland areas for thermal flying along the way.
These could include, for example, the hinterland of Malaga, the regions around Granada, as well as Baza or Jaen. Alicante, with its perfect coastal flying area and numerous thermal spots in the hinterland, will then be the final destination of this trip.
We’ll keep the route completely flexible, adjusting as usual according to the weather. Look forward to a great start to the season in Europe. The Spanish flair is created by the local hospitality combined with paella, tapas, and cerveza.
