Spring around Etna
The volcanic island of Sicily is well developed in terms of aviation and offers a wide range of potential. The varied flying areas around the 3345 meter high Etna and the already spring-like temperatures around Easter are made for our sport.
Mostly with a view of the “sleeping giant”, beautiful coastal flying areas over the picturesque mountain villages, thermals and spots in the hilly inland, which invite to small XC excursions or spectacular island excursions to fly over the steaming islet Vulcano the coast and the crater await us.
The absolute highlight in good conditions is a flight over Mount Etna: a 45-minute gliding flight to the sea, followed by a delicious pistachio ice cream – what more could you want? Perhaps the ubiquitous fragrant tangerine trees, which the mild climate offers in abundance.
Stationed in the southeast of the island, we visit the most appropriate flight options at any given time.
