Cross country basics in the Alps
Our beginner XC Camp in Greifenburg is aimed at pilots with little experience in cross-country flying. Together we will work out the basic aspects of cross-country flying in the Alps.
We use understandable theoretical blocks to convey the knowledge and then put it into practice. theory blocks cover topics such as cross-country weather, flight planning, cross-country tactics, optimal equipment and instrument settings.
Weather permitting, we will fly short to medium distances every day. You will be accompanied by our guides via radio.
We chose Greifenburg as our location for several reasons. The flying area works in many different wind directions. The valley is wide and flat and has many suitable landing sites. This allows us to concentrate fully on flying. The topography, the course of the valley and the local wind systems are typical of the Alps. The region thus serves as a good example for large parts of the Alps.
The goal of this camp is to prepare you in the best possible way for independent cross-country flying projects in the Alps.

The main language of the training camps is German. Unfortunately, we cannot offer a comprehensive translation here.
